Pillar 9 of 9
Integrated Living
The daily design.
Busy all day, and nothing that mattered got done? You are not alone. I am Chris Ellison (BSW, MSW, MBA), and in nearly thirty years as a therapist I have met many people who work hard and still feel their days are not their own.
What it means: this is where the other eight pillars come together. Integrated living is the practice of designing your ordinary days so that what matters most to you gets time, instead of whatever is loudest.
How it shows up in your life: days dominated by the urgent, one area thriving while another quietly erodes, big intentions that never reach your calendar, and the feeling of living on autopilot.
Try this today: one habit per pillar, for one week. Choose one small habit for each of the nine pillars. Keep each one tiny. Consistency beats intensity. At the end of the week, notice which areas felt easier and which pushed back. That tells you where to focus next.
This is the ninth of nine pillars in my book, A Life Well-Lived. Get the first word when it is ready. Start again at Pillar 1, Physical Vitality →
General information for reflection, not therapy. Small, steady steps are the point.
